Luckily we say our prayers...
Again, this was a few weeks ago. Joey had been really sick and i was just catching it. It was around 10 pm that Joey finally had an appetite to eat something and i was dead asleep in bed. He got up and made some rice and then fried it with some eggs for some yummy fried rice. Keep in mind that he hadn't really eaten for a few days and was really groggy and sick. So he came back into our room and shut the door and ate some rice and fell asleep. About an hour later he woke up to go to the bathroom and found our entire house filled with smoke! Both burners were left on HIGH for over an hour! it ruined the pans and the plastic pancake flipper but no flames or anything. It could have been really bad, we could have woken up crispy! Luckily Joey woke up and luckily we've been saying our prayers! It took days to get the smoke smell out of the house... here are some of the pictures i took (the first pan used to be bright red)

Oh, wow! i am glad you guys are okay! Some friends of ours left some golf balls boiling in a pot and went to the store forgetting to turn the stove off. When they got back home a couple of hours later, their kitchen was on fire and everything in the appartment was ruined due to smoke damage! Yeah, we got renter's insurance once that happened to them!
You guys were really lucky!

That reminds me of them time Johanna and Christy burned the beans in their apartment, it smelled like burning for days!
On a side note, what are you up to for Christmas this year? Noah and I will be in Seattle!
