Our Trip to California: Stop #4

Our fourth stop was in Palm Springs! Joey's parents and three siblings live there. We stayed at Joey's parent’s house in Katie's room. Palm Springs was beautiful! The 90 degree weather was a big change from the 30 degree weather we left in Rexburg! Joey's mom, Denise, who is a nurse, took the week off of work to hang out with us! We visited Jon, Joey's brother, and Cristy, his wife and their two kids, Sydnee and Jonny Blake every day! We saw Kim, Joey's sister, for one morning and went to Katie's horseback riding lesson on Saturday. We had delicious food every meal! Denise is an excellent cook and Ron and Jon are masters of the BBQ. Between the food and the BBQ we felt like we gained 20 pounds! Katie is 9 years old and loves her horse lessons. Sydnee has Perthes Disease and has to wear a cast. She is just 3 years old but we're hoping and praying she will be healed soon and be able to run again! Cristy says the doctors are impressed with her progress and hope she will be better soon. Jonny Blake is 5 months old and the perfect happy baby! Kim is getting married in just a few weeks to Warren. We’ll be headed back down again for the wedding but just for the weekend.
Joey and I left Sunday morning. It took us 12 ½ hours to get home! Now we are home safe and sound and back into school again.

Wow guys, what a fun trip! I loved all the pictures. You two are so cute...keep updating the blog so we know what you're up to.
